For the first time in years, rain visited the Washington Masters as the tournament returned to Madrona Links in Gig Harbor. The team of John Ledeboer, Scott Wood, Matt Sandmeyer and Neil Tastad won the Green Shirts in a playoff on the 18th green Scott Wood drained a 20 foot putt on the second playoff hole to provide the margin of victory over the team of Chris Tovey, Dan Marshall, Nickki Kalafatich and Daniel Smith. Both teams finished regulation tied at –4 (67).
The victors birdied three of their first four holes, but fell off the pace with a bogey at #13 (their 16th hole). A clutch birdie on the last hole (#15) forged the tie. The runners up had it to –5 before bogeying #12 (their 14th hole) and finishing with four consecutive pars.
